Kristina Sunstrum

REGISTERED SOCIAL WORKER, MSW

Kristina’s work as a therapist is centered around the idea that individuals are inherently resilient and that within them, they possess the knowledge and skills to support their own well-being. She offers a non-judgmental and compassionate environment to explore and process life’s challenges, while also identifying how personal strengths and wisdom can bring about positive change.

A central focus of Kristina's work is supporting individuals who have experienced trauma. She also has experience providing support to individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and interpersonal relationship struggles.

Kristina is trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and primarily integrates these approaches to support each client's individual needs. She also draws from the modalities of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT).
